Taken

Taken is the story of a guy who worked for the CIA, it cost him his wife and daughter (not dead, just left him). So now he's retired and wants to develop a relationship with his daughter. She is played by Maggie Grace (Shannon on LOST). Sometimes I love acting choices people make. How can you tell that his daughter is 17? Because she runs like a dullard. It has to be seen to be believed.

If you saw any of the commercials you know what happens. In a movie like this its not about the twists, it is about that action. It has it. I think it worked so well because Neeson is the average guy action star. He's like Bruce Willis in Die Hard. That really elevates the movie. Its produced (maybe story by) from Luc Besson. That should tell you more about it than I ever could.

I would say the best thumbs up you can give it is when your girlfriend says she liked it. And in the case of Taken, it got one of those.
